Have transfered my itunes library into Google Music but now want the songs locally on the S6. I tried to plug the phone into the macbook but keep getting the not recognised message.

Any easy solutions or another methof for getting the librbary locally on the phone?

Thanks

Apple hate Samsung and they just wont connect! I had to get some random app from the play store to transfer photos wirelessly which worked surprisingly well. Never had to do music as I have Spotify.

Yeah, I think you need Samsung Kies app installed to then access the phone.

Just select which files you want to download on the google music client.....that's the easiest way

Connect phone to wifi (or mobile network if you like chewing through data).
launch google play music on the phone.
Select albums/tracks/playlists you want on phone, click download.

cloud storage, it'll never take off 😉

Thanks - idiot me was looking at the "Music" app on the phone, which I assume is a Samsung app?

Having found all my songs I'm not getting an option to "download"- only the following options

Start Instant Mix
Play Next
Add to queue
Add to play list
Go to artist
Go to ALbum
Delete
Shop for this artist

Can you see a down pointing arrow icon next to the menu?

I can see the whole library - apart from 22 songs that wouldn't for some reason move across from itunes.

That article helped - thanks. Using the refresh button allowed me to access download options!

Install Android File Transfer on the Mac.
