You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
It's a bit of a difficult market to navigate, given the billions of cases on offer. I prefer to go with the more official ones cos they tend to work better in my experience.
I want a 'gel' case ie a rubbery one that protects the phone and preferably stands proud of the screen slightly to protect it. Also that camera bulge on the back looks a bit vulnerable. Also needs to be grippier than the treacherous glass it's made of.
Any recommendations?
Not a gel case, but has rubber bumpers - I have a Spigen Tough Armor for my Note 4 and I'm happy with it. Tough, buttons work and stands proud of the screen...
edit - that pic is of an S6 Edge, so the sides drop away - on my note, the lip comes all the way round the screen
I have been using THIS and its saved my phone a few times, this morning being one onto the kitchen tiles!
Its not that rubbery compared to the car tyre type I had for my S4 but its grippy enough.
Using the same one as artist suggests on a galaxy s6. I'm a builder and not a mark on the phone, it even came with a tempered screen cover. Highly recommend.
I have used Otter Box "Commuter" series for a S3 and a S5 the last few years.
The best compromise between protection and usability IMO.
I work in very harsh environments and they protect the phone well.
They do for the the S6 as well http://www.otterbox.com/en-us/galaxy-s6/commuter-series-case/sam4-galaxy-s6-byo.html
i've been using one of these on my S4 for the last 2 years.
never had a problem given the number of times its been dropped etc.
