So what is the verdict?
After a machine for home use. Have found out tha the diff between the Gaggia Classic and the Pure is the 3 way solenoid. As I understand it, the lack of in the pure means it takes longer to make numerous cups.
Does the cuisinart have such a solenoid?
For the same price which one wins?
Cant justify the money for a classic, well mrs mugsy wont let me.
Many thanks yet again.
I don't know the answer to your question but I know a man who does.
Gaggia Service in Nottingham serviced my Gaggia Classic last month. They are experts and they also sell refurbished machines, which is what I would get if I needed a new one. The bloke there is amazingly helpful and their delivery service is fast and efficient.
Oh, and after years of denial I now accept that grinding your own is more important than which make of machine. Get an Iberital grinder from Happy Donkey and you'll never look back. Even if you have to make do with an Argos special espresso machine.
Many thanks. I will give them a ring.
My mum's cuisinart machine (dunno the number, it was 150 ish) tastes better than my Gaggia Dose I reckon.
