My Gaggia baby coffee machine is still going strong...but is suffering from a rusty bottom!
The base plate and drip tray are both pretty badly corroded, which seems to be a common problem (not sure who though it was a good idea to use a rust-prone metal for these parts).
Anyway... has anyone managed to get a replacement part for it? And if so... where from?
Or, on the off chance, anyone got a non-rusty model sat in the garage they don’t need?
I'm using the baby too but no rust I can see as it sits on a plastic plinth and then plastic body, it's about 7 years old works great just changed the thermostat once.
My Rancilio Silvia is a different story like yours the driptray paint all peeled and rusty yet most of the machine is stainless, still works great but not worth the extra cost, will have to be stripped, blasted and painted to look good again
