Wall of fame : PC or Mac?
The show sponsored by PC World came down on the side of the PC.
What a suprise.
Or simply because it's true...
PC World sell Macs also.
THREAD FAIL.
Doh!
Wall of Who Gives a Sh1t
Their reasons were stupid too - 'PCs are better because most people have PCs'. 🙄
Mac's are great. Really nice toys but pc's more of a hobby for me. They are something you can build, upgrade and **** around with. Much like a bike. I would never buy an off the peg bike and the same goes fora pc.
That snow bike looked like fun though.
Remember kids: The idea was to decide which had the biggest impact and should be on the Wall of Fame, not which is "best".
I thought the snow race was a bit pathetic.
They gave Jason a £1400 Burton board and he rides even worse than me 🙄

I know - I thought he was going to eat it just as he won the race. unhapoy memories of edge catching....
"PCs are better because most people have PCs"
This is completely true. I use Linux at work and it obviously it is a superior operating system if you need to be able to actually need to be able to write scripts and integrate either the OS tools or your programed tools with file system.
But if you just need to point and click most of the GUI's are pretty much all the same now linux(gnome, kde), mac or windows.
Hence for the average joe windows is better because more people use it. Same goes for alot of computing software ie office, facebook, ebay, driving on the left.
If you need to communicate with people which is generally what most work on computers is ultimately for then compatibility is most important.
I liked the way he demostrated how he lowered his centre of gravity. Yep by hunching his shoulders forward!
I didn't see the beginning, but surely skis would have been faster anway.

I've NEVER had a problem opening files from a PC on my Mac.
well done but that still doesnt mean that windows doesnt have the widest range of easily available software and of course the file formats that supported.
What exactly is it that is better about the mac you that you use ?
I like linux (mac OS is a Unix based operating system) and it would be a complete nightmare trying to work on a windows based PC. But for home use I cant really see what the problem is with windows ?
As for windows being less stable personally I think thats more to do with the hardware. Obviously does nt skimp on the hardware and you can tell cos it pricey.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhh.....,
did that snow bike have zochi forks on it?
Bombers I think, although he failed to own anyone with them, so possibly not.
Fannies.
Fannies
No, they were definitely Bombers.
but surely skis would have been faster anway.
Indeed, the camera guy was on skis and seemed to have no problem keeping up with him despite operating a camera simultaneously.
Fannies
No, they were definitely Bombers.
No, he means next weeks wall of fame will be Fannies v Bombers
Oooh tricky.
Bombers have adjustable damping, but are much harder lubricate
It seemed to me that Otis sort of waited for Jason at the last nav point, faffing around to let him catch up and make a race of it for the producers. It's an interesting programme to watch, a little like a commercialised Tomorrows World, the only difference being the tech is generally actually in production rather than in prototype but some of the stuff they test is a little esoteric (digital house for e.g.). Still, let's face it, who here wouldn't like their job? I'm first in the queue!
mmm Suzi......
Yep.
Otis' navigation app looked far superior so I'm not sure why he suddenly had to sit about for five minutes. (I've got the app Jason had and it is nice, but **** all use for navigating by)
Likewise Jason's devastating snowball attack looked very ineffectual. I don't think he even hit him.
Plus of course Otis suddenly got "scared" and stopped again, giving Jason another chance to open up a lead.
All in all it was about as fair as a Top Gear "race" 🙂
