Currently have one of these which i will be selling but want to change to something similar, maybe a black face/band or something with a larger face. But the same chunky/rugged look. Solar power would be pretty good too. Max £200:

Any ideas? I know there are a few watch lovers on here 😀

I have had a G-Shock AWG101 watch for approx four years

It is solar powered which works well. My main gripe is that the light is pretty poor - a sickly yellow colour that struggles to illuminate the dial but not really a big problem.

It also syncs to a radio time signal so is always accurate.

I have replaced the watch strap once which was cheap and easy.

If it broke I would buy another.

I have one of these, it replaced a g-shock. Originally I thought it was a bit OTT with the functions but they're very useful. If it broke today, i'd buy another tomorrow.

Got a GS-1150 on my wrist now. Great watch. Just over 200 but really nice clear dial for a G-shock and metal inserts look good too. Otherwise solar power and radio timekeeping is ace. I use it for all my MTB.

Just got one of these. Good for me because it has a tide table which is useful for surfing.

Nice and chunky too, looks like a transformer strapped to your arm.

I've got a G Shock Mudman and am really happy with it. Chunky enough that it'll look after itself and cheap enough that I don't have to be over protective about it.
I guess money is all relative to how much you earn but at £70 I'm a bit less worried about ruining it then I would be with a £200 watch.

I've got a nice gold watch that I wear for "best" but for a general day to day watch for work and playing out, i'm happy with the basic Mudman.
