Initially engaging but got pretty silly towards the end.

I was rooting for the Nazis in the last 20 minutes.

Do not want to post any spoilers but it seemed to depart from credulity somewhat.

Totally agree. Have been waiting over a year for this release but left disappointed.

The middle of the film was a bit tedious, and the ending was bordering on ridiculous. Shame really given the cast and director

Some good moments, but a film that kinda couldn't decide if it were trying to be a proper, gritty, realistic war epic or a "shoot 'em up" with the boys kinda deal imo.

I also feel Pitt was somewhat mis-cast in the leading role, whilst the support cast put in arguably stronger performances with much more depth?

Saw it yesterday. Initially it seemed like it was going to be a good one but the longer it went on the more I was thinking w.t.f is this unbelievable tripe. I was half-tempted to walk out. It felt like a poor-mans tarantino what with the weird dialogue and ott Nazi killing.

It was well filmed, i'll give them that.

It was OK but not outstanding, and IMO didn't match some of the great Vietnam war films for the gritty realism of war. Bits were completely unbelievable as in many US military films.

I enjoyed it, even if the ending is somewhat fantastical and beyond belief.

Like most war films they use 'big' named actors who are twice the age of those who actually served. Average age would have been about 21/22yrs not 50!!
