Just had a wagon driver in at work and was having a chat with him. He was telling me about a mate of his who has a house in Italy. Him and his lad were going to fly out there to do some work on it but missed their flight. They decided that seeing as they were in a people carrier they would drive down and take some furniture with them. They stocked up at Ikea but bought so much that they could barely fit in the car. They were rammed in and even struggled to change gear it was that full. Anyway after a long uncomfortable drive they finally reached the house. Unloaded and went to do a bit of work. Realising that they needed some skirting boards they asked a local guy where to get some. He directed them to a place nearby and when they got there it was right next to a massive Ikea, stacked to the rafters with all the sort of stuff they had brought with them!
🙂
haha.
I once took my family in south africa sweets and things I was sure they couldn't get over there. Turned out to be a waste of baggage allowance, and, to add insult to injury, was all more expensive in the UK!
A friends son has been asking for a dog for months. He wants a Labrador. It had just got to the point where his parents were about to cave in and get one, when he came in from school and announces that he no longer wants a Labrador. "Why?" asked his mother.
"I've noticed that they make the owners go blind!"
