Morning all

My thoughts were just turning to what calorie-laden delights I could assault my body with to mark the end of the working week when there was a knock at the door. And waiting for me was a nice refrigerated package containing these beauties

Pies! Yay!!! by bin lid, on Flickr

On the Dominic Cummings thread, myself and TJ had a bet on whether the dark lord would be sacked or not for his Barnard Castle Eye Test. I said he'd brazen it out. TJ waited until the end of lockdown, once pie delivery could resume and now I've got these for lunch

Cheers TJ!! 😀

Whats everyone else having then?

My birthday today, so I'm in high calorie heaven! Doughnut already consumed, more cakes and pies during the working day, the wife is also promising a decadent dinner washed down with beer and wine. It's definitely full fat today! 🙂

PCM - edited so you can guess

Just to show that proper northern pies can be sofistkated

Lochinver larder pies - by post. Lovely things. Unfortunately there was a minimum order of a dozen so I had to have ten of them.

In the land of baked, meat stuffed products, there are sausage rolls, and there are sausage rolls.

These are the latter.

I have to say I'm particularly looking forwad to the PCM. Sounds like a dream combination and a pie I've never tried before

Indeed. TBH, there’s very little I haven’t had from there, and it’s all good.

I seem to recall it was quite heavily cake, rather than pie-based

The pie shop in Lochinver doesn't allow dogs in the cafe bit sadly, however they do takeaway pie and mash which is excellent.

Well, that's one in the eye for all those folks who've chanted that you've eaten all of them, eh?

Indeed. It was merely most of them, but that doesn't scan as well for a chant

Well laaah-dee-****in-daaa. I'd expect more of a good working-man's pie from TJ and Binners, now I see them for the posh-pie socialists they really are.

Well, you say that, but me and Uncle Jezza actually acquired our love of chorizo and Manchego while fighting fascism in the Spanish civil war
