Just noticed our local Morribongo's diesel has dropped to £115.9 which is the cheapest It's been for a while. Last week I passed through Kendal & saw diesel for £115.9 (Morrisons again) but on the way back home saw the Esso site at Scotch Corner at a whopping £135.9! Greedy bastids!
£1.127 in Barnsley yesterday for diesel
113.9p at Morrisons in Ripon
i bought 350 litres on friday night
20000 AOA at sonangol
then i got a puncture in the hilux and found i had no jack.
Crude is near a 5 month low and whilst it only makes a fraction of the price, I'd still expect fuel prices to drop a bit more on the back of it.
113.9 for diesel at Morrisons in Perth
Sainsburys are doing diesel for £1.15 at Ellesmere Port so Costco will be about £1.08 with unleaded a couple of pence less. Good job as I'll be putting 300L in the boat at the end of next week!
Our local indy garage is £1.23 for diesel which is the same as a big BP down the road.
Come down quite a bit in the week. We filled the camper back up when we got back from the Nationals on Monday so it was ready for the next outing to Ireland and paid £1.169.
113.9p at Morrisons in Ripon
I'm in Boroughbridge, so how come it's tuppence cheaper 7 miles away?!! 😉
113.9 for diesel at Morrisons in Perth
That's the cheapest I've heard of for a while.
Diesel was £1.14/L at Morrisons in Mansfield Woodhouse yesterday.
I filled up with diesel at 112.9p last night at Tesco in Holyhead. Petrol at the same place was 111.9p. Wasn't going to miss that opportunity!
A few miles down the road (A55, North Wales Expressway) was an Esso service station which was 129.9p
£1.13 in Sainsburys (I've just checked) genuinely I don't know if that's up or down from a month ago.
I remember before we stepped on the Brexit rake it fell to £1 and people started eyeing up V8s with the same enthusiasm they had for selling their 2.0 petrols for 1.4 diesels back when it reached £1 on the way up. is this recent low or high?
1.139 for diesel at Sainsbury's Staines, i was in the works van and almost shit myself when I saw the receipt thinking that must surely be unleaded!
1.11 diesel and petrol Asda Bolton cheapest. Most expensive £1.23 in Edinburgh.
1.11 diesel and petrol Asda Bolton cheapest.
Holy Moly, is this Brexit kicking in? I vaguely remember petrol hitting a quid a litre, yonks ago.
Shell garage on A9 at Dunblane is currently 1.23 😯
Jan last year diesel was under £1/litre.
Seems odd how we now think £1.14 is cheap 🙁
It was >£1.40 for a long time though, add on a few years of inflation and it is still ~£1/l , considerably less if you go back to when it hit £1/l on the way up over 10 years ago.Seems odd how we now think £1.14 is cheap
Did it not drop just before the last GE? Or did I imagine that? 😯
Just checked my road trip app and I paid 97.7 per litre of diesel on 8 March 2016
The murco on the a303 near honitonin Devon usually takes the piss. I drove past the other day and I think it was 136.9p
No stations for a while till you get to it. I've had to but petrol once from there. Bought £5 and got to honiton for the BP!
11.7 for both at the Oldbury Asda just off the M5 junction. Seems cheap.
113.2 for diesel at Cannock Sainsbury's. only noticed on the way past, haven't had to fill the car up since Easter so don't know what's the most expensive round here.
111.7 a litre for unleaded at Morrisons Mansfield Woodhouse today. I think diesel had come down to 112.7.
yup, passed Tesco today at 111.9p/l in Elgin.
Costco 110.9p for premium diesel last week as they d dont do normal diesel. They do normal and premium petrol though. Cheaper than petrol stations by quite a bit.
113.9 at Morrisons in Cardiff, have noticed it creeping down over the last week or so.
There's a Gulf garage out towards Radyr that has seemingly had it's prices at 149.9 for the last 4 years!
112.7 at Asda near Epsom. Last year I'm pretty sure I saw 180p in Mayfair.
£132.9 Shell V-Power just outside Manchester City Centre, so expect higher but its shot up a bit in a short time. May have dropped back down now as the 'normal' fuels on the sign have fallen a bit but haven't had to fill up since then. Good job I don't do many miles!
Down to £113.9 at Morribongo's in Boroughbridge today. 🙂
Just checked my road trip app and I paid 97.7 per litre of diesel on 8 March 2016
In 1976 I paid 60p a gallon.
Wow the 80s in the UK really were like alot of the remoter parts of the FSU are today......
The two rip off merchants at the top of the River are obviously sniffing the fumes and charging 1.17 & 1.18 per ltr for petrol, but they're always pegged within a few pence.. but the Shell at Waitrose is 1.15.. and diesel is 1.19.
Don't go to Tesco nor Morrison nor Sainsburys because they're 3-4 miles away.
Here's me, booted & suited for serving/selling petrol...
Singing 'I'm a little teapot...'
Short & stout! I wouldn't fit in those overalls now that's for sure.Singing 'I'm a little teapot...'
That's actually only 4 miles out of Durham City on the A181 road. There were loads of stations like mine, until Esso launched their 'Price Watch' campaign & put most rural stations out of business. They were selling fuel for around 5p a litre less than I could buy it for, & now I see them selling fuel for 20p a litre more than others!Wow the 80s in the UK really were like alot of the remoter parts of the FSU are today....
Saw £1.50(something) at a services (maybe Leicester Forest East) the other day!
And people going in there to fill up 😯
I do a lot of similar motorway routes every week and have learnt where the near-the-motorway supermarkets are.
esselgruntfuttock - Are you from Sherburn? Some place that!
I've been driving for 4-ish years now and only once have I filled up with diesel for less than £1/l, I think in March 2016. Lowest around is £1.127/l in Asda on the way out to the A64 in Leeds. Definitely payed over £1.30/l a couple of years ago so it's an improvement.
Have vague memories of petrol being about 70p/l when I was really young (99/00ish).
Costing me about 9.3p/kWh to fill up at home although that might go up to 11p or 12p once my fixed rate comes to an end.
1kWh = about 4.5 miles.
I can remember when petrol broke £2/gal and when we switched to selling in litres
