...so with all the Twitter account deleting, who is worse off, if anyone?

Funny or unacceptable, or neither?

Ripe stuff being reported in The Guardian

“Will all you sanctimonious ****ers **** the **** off Jenny Beavan is a friend and joshing is legitimate. Christ I want to leave the planet”.

He was being funny, warm, and it was a term of endearment.
The professional offence takers hit the redline.
She has come out and said she is unoffended and refuses to comment further, sensibly.

It seems that the righteous 'professionally outraged' classes are so desperate to find somebody or something to be upset at, that they have begun consuming their own: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/universityeducation/12158352/The-intolerant-student-Left-has-even-turned-on-me-a-lifelong-civil-rights-campaigner.html

off hand comment jumped upon and blown up beyond recognition with glee by rightwing commentators as indicative of the innate hypocrisy of 'leftwing' luvvies

it sounds exactly like your average kneejerk, rightwing, homophobic, telegraph readers wet dream and judging by the above average number of vitriolic comments drawn in, its served its clickbait purpose admirably

The point all the offended by proxy brigade is missing is that Fry and Mrs Woman were good friends; he was teasing a mate, not having a pop at a stranger.

He'd have done well to make that clearer though, the room went "ooh" when he said it.

Don't know about that, but Fry's unctious, pompous, "Nation's Favourite Luvvie" Dear Boy I'm so clever act I find really irritating.

Plus all that "Flounce off/Flounce on/Flounce off again" schtick every time he gets upset about something somebody says about him...

Is it just me? Can we have Julian Clary do the next BAFTAS?

Stab in the dark here - but its almost like he's some sort of manic depressive 🙂

So many ex twitter users have disapeard from their homes.....

Has anynone heard about the Gorila Patio layer going around the country? People waking up and finding a fresh new patio (with chairs and tables) have been laid in the gardens overnight 🙂

I don't see much evidence of this on the hashtag, which is unsurprising as surveys suggest that Twitter is most popular among those who lean left - hence why they thought they were going to win the election.

Anyway live by the sword, die by the sword, Fry is so often one of the professionally outraged it is quite fun to see how well he takes it - shame really, he was funny once.
