Why do they insist on adding sugar, when fruit contains sugar as it is?
Is it just to appeal to the sweet-toothed average consumer? Does it improve shelf life?
To me, plain, unsweetened, natural yoghurt with fresh fruit in is just about perfect.

Sugar is cheap, adds weight/bulk to product and highly addictive. Food companies with low or no morals will add it to whatever they can.
