I've just done the tribe Aberdeen Angus burgers. I might have got carried away then fried some bacon and subsequently flipped said bacon after smothering with cheddar into ex burger fat resulting in utter bliss. The baked mushrooms token lettuce leaf and tomato just finished it off. Cheesecake now!

The wife, being of Cypriot stock, has the most peculiar fetish of large quantities of pan fried haloumi cheese. Suffice to say I don't share this desire...

It tastes salty as buggery and has a texture like rubber btw.

Jamie Oliver's version of the cheese toastie, basically fry a cheese sandwich then add cheese to the pan and fry each side again. Crispy cheese outside, melty goodness inside, mmmmm

Really? All the haloumi I've had has been tasteless: A complete waste of calories. I'd rather skip it and have cheesecake for pud

Haloumi is yummy, it tastes like chicken when fried. 😉

Haloumi with salad and sweet chili sauce in pita bread. Or fill your pita with haloumi and then griddle for a posh cheese toasty. Yummy.

Halloumi is really nice marinated in spices, fried then used in a curry. Makes a great alternative to paneer.

Mmmmm, halloumi. Grilled or fried, both good
