Blocked drain/ plastic container wrapped round compressor to evaporate water is full of gunge or tray with heater , the heater is not working. Depending on what you have. Humidity has been really high, which will cause a lot of condensation in the fridge which has to go somewhere. Also spend less time staring in the fridge with the door open thinking about what you want ( mainly aimed at your kids :))

Is it sited hard up against a wall? It needs air to circulate. Check the back of the outside as that's where the dust collects, get rid of the dust. Check the drain hole, even if it doesn't look blocked that doesn't mean it isn't. I use a clean reed, as in diffuser, to check and it's quite horrific what comes out sometimes!

Took the back out of the freezer compartment, cleaned a small amount of ice out and poked the hole a bit, a fair bit of water then came out of the teat thingy at tge back and collected in the tray on top of the motor. Does that water just evaporate? I sponged it up, switched it all back on. Lots of lights flashing, lets hope it survives the oporation!!

Some have a tray that collects water but the fact that water came out is good. Watch and wait.
