Out for lunch time play in the woods with Nell. Now off the lead and with a fresh haircut and more mental than ever.

Despite trying very hard I've yet to lose the ball when she's there. Properly amazing searching and scenting.

^ Great photo of Nell! Can't wait to take this guy out and about properly - another week of semi-confinement to go before the jabs are all kicked in. 11wks old tomorrow.

I don't know how to post pics on here but these dogs are awesome!! We've got a four year old bitch (Lola) and she's the best thing that ever happened to us! As long as she has a couple of walks a day (off the lead) she's like a teddy bear at home!! Best dogs ever

Ditto. Am waiting until Young Master CFH is up and walking and then another dog will be joining the family. In the meantime, threads such as this are deeply unfair. So, I've reported it to the mods, and I expect it to be closed immediately.

It's bad enough with MrsS constantly liking puppy pages on Facebook and tagging me in them. I really want one now but for various reasons it's not the right time yet. I miss my walking buddies.

Just seen this thread and some very naughty looking spaniels indeed.

Heres young Bobbie at just 5 months, and very much a Springer I assure you.

The Hustler - Bobbie mastered the 'springer sprawl' at a very early age.

How did the flyball go?

Not actually hours but we get the best of both worlds as we get to take her out whenever we want and return her to her owner (our childminder) all muddy. Mad as a box of frogs.

This morning on a rare occasion when she stood still long enough to get a pic.

We've got a pedigree black lab, Barney - girlfriend works him in the winter picking up on 2 or 3 shoots, he's good, if a tad wild, I'm trying to train him back up a bit, but he's 5 now, don't know where the time's gone! He's great, but not ideal for the sort of shooting I do, I want a spaniel.

If it was a lab I wanted, girlfriend would be trying to find a bitch for Barney right now, but as it's a spaniel I'm after she's not keen, loads of excuses/reasons not to arise!

You can't beat a spaniel for beating/walked up shooting I don't reckon!

Hey Core, look at the pic of my Barney on page one. He's perfect for what you need, half and half of each breed and he's such a great dog. A bit of a wuss, but so soft and gentle and just wants to please. Runs and runs too.

His parents were both from working stock, basically the liver coloured English Springer got in with the Golden Lab bitch.....great result!

Nearly a month ( tomorrow ) since I said goodbye to my Heidi. She was 13 years old. Miss her like mad, but it's nice to see other spaniels.

Here's me and Heidi doing a selfie in the snow.

Ace thread - I love dogs. Once our life is less hectic and someone is around more, I want either a Cocker or a Vizsla. Even the boss is on board and she's more of a cat person.

We had a Springer called Meg when we were kids and she was ace. Huge amounts of energy but loved fuss and a cuddle. She would get a bit excited and wee on the floor from time to time. After my mum passed away she had to go back to the breeders because when we moved in with my grandparents she cam with us but refused to be contained in their garden. Having grown up on a farm near Dalby she was used to having a lot of space to roam.

Friend of mine has a half-Lab, half-Vizla bitch. She is awesome. A really lovely, happy, friendly dog and he (after some initial hesitation) is smitten with her.

I'm a spaniel man, but even I think she's awesome.

Sorry - missed Friday as photo bucket was down for maintenance.

Here's my faithful WCS Ziggy on holiday in Devon - that beach was dog friendly too!!
