Sydney flew to Melbourne, Australia. The flying time to Melbourne, which is 11 hours ahead of Britain, was 21 hours. Sydney's flight left London at 11.30am on Tuesday. What time was it in Melbourne when Sydney's flight arrived?
8.30pm on Wednesday! ????? that was a quick thought.Mmm maybe not plum, how about 1930 hours on wednesday.
I thought 7.30pm on Wed.
Is the plane on a conveyor belt?
Depends how long it takes to get to Sydney from London. It's further south than melbourne and they don't do direct flights to either of these destinatations
Did he bypass the Flux Capacitor before take off?
so 21:30 on Tuesday is the answer
No, same time, but Wednesday...isn't it?
7.30pm Wednesday
Can someone now give us the correct answer and explain it!!?
Flight leaves london at 1130hrs Tues GMT. Lands 21 hrs later which is 0830hrs GMT. 0830hrs plus 11 is 1930hrs so yep, agreed with dicky, it's 7.30 pm. So much for me and my new invention, the 22 hour day!
EDIT: Oops, and Munqe-chick. But guys, guys, show your workings out or is that not done anymore??
It just can't be that simple, can it? Departure time + 32hours?
