Mrs rustled up a fine leftover stir-fry using yesterday's BBQ pork joint, a bottle of Aldi's finest weissbier and Jorja Smith's latest release Rose Rouge + similar via Spotify radio. Trying to take the edge off before a weekend of Beaver*-enforced camping.

Pork steaks, new pots, broad beans, early season carrots - all local; nearly done.
Asahi black to be followed by glass (or two) of rioja gran reserva.
6music; some great Glasto sets over last 2 days; now young Ravenscroft; will switch to R4 at 10pm.
Lincoln (almost) feels...continental - as regards weather.

she was having “just one more drink” 45 minutes ago and it’s now quarter to 11.

There's going to be a thick head tomorrow, second time in my life I've ever seen someone fall asleep mid sentence. I'm now having my pisspy max fortified with Mr Beam.

I should probably qualify that, cos it's amusing.

My mate, we'll call him "Dave," for that is his name, often fell asleep mid-sentence after a few beers. Then he'd suddenly wake up an hour later, carry on the sentence as if nothing had happened, and have no idea that he'd been asleep at all. It was the damnedest thing.

Tell me about it.

The Radiohead set was followed up with REM and then Arcade Fire, whilst the Laphroaig was supplemented with some Jura Superstition and then Talisker.
