Off to my local tonight and there is usually a fine selection of Belgian ales. Last time I was there I was drinking "Duchesse De Bourgogne" sour beer.
12% ABV, not surprised!
Gearing up for a homebrew sesh tomorrow. Grains measured out, brewing liquor all set, heater timer will come on at 6am so we're all ready to rock at approx 8am.
Relaxing with some Hogs Back England's Glory now.
I do believe Englands Glory was one of my early recipes.

Thwaites Bomber - never a bad choice....
On the London Pride.....always seems to happen on a big rugby weekend !
Marstons old empire for me!! (12 if i try my bestest...)
al surely that is the quintessential STW ale !!!!
Catching up on my beerbods subscription... River Cottage Stinger and Butts Barbus Barbus. Then onto Budvar and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
STW loves a double...and at 10.5% the bash will follow soon after
Polish here: Lech, Zywiec and Tatra (made using only the purest water from the Tatran Mountain range) 😯
@patriotpro, good choice! Do the right thing and slice up kabanos as a side accompaniment 8)
Slumming it a little this evening, Leffe whilst I finish some work and a cheapo bottle of Pinotage Shiraz for when I'm done.
Kabanos tip noted ´fenred´ nastrovje! 😉
Cheap red wine and stewed shin of veal
Mmmmmm fauxrusticclassworld
Just finishing an average bottle of rioja.
An update on the cheapo Pinotage Shiraz...
Not great. Still, I'll mtfu and struggle through.
Guinness export
Hoegaarden for me tonight.
Pushed on through with a bottle of VDP d'Oc. Way better than the £6 price tag and cheesy label with a grinning Frenchie on it would suggest.
EDIT - always a concern when the label tells you more about the other wines they make...but it's a goodie.
My local is new brewing its own beer 8) Lasts nights tap was "wheat trial", not my favourite style usually but i really enjoyed a few of them... I like beer.
messiah, where is your local......always like a ale trip. 😀
Ton, its the award winning Marine Hotel in Stonehaven up in North East Scotland... probably a long way to go for a beer!
Day early, but I've a stupid o'clock flight to catch from Edinburgh Saturday.
Arran - blonde
Ozujsko in Zagreb. Its not Friday though?
