Off to my local tonight and there is usually a fine selection of Belgian ales. Last time I was there I was drinking "Duchesse De Bourgogne" sour beer.

12% ABV, not surprised!

Gearing up for a homebrew sesh tomorrow. Grains measured out, brewing liquor all set, heater timer will come on at 6am so we're all ready to rock at approx 8am.

Relaxing with some Hogs Back England's Glory now.

I do believe Englands Glory was one of my early recipes.
Might have changed by now though.

1 Bottle of Upham Punter ( down the sink )]
1 Bottle of OOD Hant Rose (not goood)
1 Bottle Hambledon , very nice
2 pinys Sticklebract
1 bottle IPA .= Awesome
2 Bottles Russian Winter = more awesomenessss

Pushed on through with a bottle of VDP d'Oc. Way better than the £6 price tag and cheesy label with a grinning Frenchie on it would suggest.

EDIT - always a concern when the label tells you more about the other wines they make...but it's a goodie.

My local is new brewing its own beer 8) Lasts nights tap was "wheat trial", not my favourite style usually but i really enjoyed a few of them... I like beer.
