There is a petrol station near us that activates tyre spikes if you try and leave without paying. Never seen them used, though.

Someone needs to explain the concept of a double negative to the local polis. 😆

Ah, this is another of those STW Grammar Nazi posts... Had me scratching my chin for a moment, thought it was on of those completely pointless threads. Turns out it's only almost completely pointless.

Sorry to ruin the illusion of a silly and illiterate PC Dibble sitting behind a computer, drawing up said poster and getting wrong; This would have been outsourced to a graphics design company or (if GMP are lucky enough) an internal design/print department who'd have made the mistake aaaalllll by themselves.

Bloody police.

Always cocking things up eh!

[Edit#1] Or as globalti points out below, knocked up by the owner of the garage himself

[Edit#2] Still.. it's not as good as my local constabulary's graphical efforts

I don't think for a minute that the Police authored that sticker; more likely the garage owner bought a handful with his paper towels, bags of logs and windscreen wash.

There was a great attempted drive away in Caerleon years ago, two lads had shoe horned an IBC into the back of old Escort van. The thing got so heavy that it would hardly move, the woman in the garage on the Bridge siad she got suspicious when about £330 went into the van 😆
She phoned the police and they found the van abandoned on the Ponthir Road with a burnt out clutch. DOH

You should read the gmp Facebook and Twitter feeds if you want more evidence. I'm almost certain they don't have a gcse between them in the media office
