Ok pugilist fans who is going to win this one?
Very, very close. I'm a huge fan of both but I'm edging very slightly towards Quigg. I think he's the bigger puncher, and he's certainly the bigger man, but it should be an absolute cracker of a fight, because they do both come to fight.
Quigg I reckon.
I imagine first round a cagey affair until one of them gets hit hard then the whole fight after that will just be an old school slugfest (fingers crossed)
Local pub often shows the boxing but for some reason has decided not to show this one which is a bit pi55 poor if you ask me!

It's PPV which might be the reason
I reckon Joe Gallagher plays a big part here. He's a far more experienced trainer than Shane McGuigan and I think he'll set up the right game plan.
I'm not looking too much into their respective performances against Martinez, nor Frampton's slightly shaky performance last time out. It's one of the closest fights I can remember in years. A genuine 50/50 from two very good fighters.
Whoever wins, I just hope they get in with Rigondeaux.
Yeh they showed Joshua vs White and Haye vs Klitshcko recently so ppv not an issue. I am guessing there is some other ball based sports on instead.
I can't help but take into account Frampton's last performance. Shows he has got a chin but can be hit on it and can be rattled if pressured or nervous. Quigg looks a more composed fighter. That may be as you say down to the trainer and experience in the corner.
I see quigg walking through Frampton and finishing it in round 6
started watching the (slightly BS) hype stuff on sky last night which was bizarrely entertaining as were the Quigg highlights afterwards
would love to watch but not sure I can be bothered with PPV
still trying to decide whether Hearn jr was amusing or being a **** 😉
Scott Quigg only because I know him, I used to train in the same gym a him when he was a Thai boxer. He is hard a nails and fast he has been fighting since he was about 5 years old, he can get sloppy when red most comes down. I think it's going to be a good fight if Scott can pull it off he will have to try and stop it early on.
I'm going with Frampton, great punch and in the best shape he's ever been in.
A while back I wouldve have been tipping Frampton but watching Quigg take out Kiko I'm tending towards Quigg. Its going to be a decent match up and can see Frampton v quigg 2 and 3.
its hand bags at dawn already over who has the bigger dressing room.. 🙂
I guess they want to see who is the biggest diva!

I favored Frampton but Quigg has the physical advantage it seems, Frampton is smarter and must box rather than get into a brawl. I hope Frampton wins.
Neither will go anywhere near Rigondeaux, they have both said they will but I reckon they will move up and say they cant make 122 any more.
Hard one to pick, but I'd go Frampton on points unless Quigg knocks him out.
Frampton's supposed to be the next Barry, so Quigg could be his Stevie Cruz.
Its going to be a decent match up and can see Frampton v quigg 2 and 3.
apparently there is a rematch clause in the contract so yes I can see it happening
More experts going with Frampton than Quigg. That said I'm going with Quigg by KO in the second half of the fight, whilst down on the scorecards. For some reason I think Frampton will be comfortably ahead, get complacent, then walk on to a big punch at some point..

Every man and their dog tipped De Gale to destroy Groves years ago. I still have the copy of boxing news where they asked 20 pros for their pick. 19 went for De Gale!

Agree with that point, their predictions aren't usually any better than the average punter.
Off topic, but who do you think would win now if they fought? Groves looks to me to be a bit worse fo wear after the froch KO, but Degale really just doesn't impress me in the slightest.
I really like Groves but sadly he is finished as a fighter, I know he won his comeback fight the other day but the opponent was nothing special. The Froch defeats took a lot out of him.

I dislike both of them tremendously.
Groves is damaged mentally after the Froch fights. Looks like a fighter whose confidence is damaged.
Degale was fighting, and toiling, in shopping centres not that long ago, yet all off a sudden he's being lauded over. I don't rate him at all.
I think Groves is the better fighter but given his fragile state, I'd slightly tip Degale right now.
Certainly wouldn't pay fees to watch that one. I'd want Groves to win, but only cos he's slightly less of a twonk than Degale. Last 2 fights Groves right hand just didn't work, you know the one he decked Froch with!
Think Degale would just about edge him now, but who cares really.
ok .. I've changed my mind.. i reckon Frampton to be a bit slick and take quigg deep into latter rounds.. then again I might change my mind a bit later..
Here we go
ding ding..quigg looks happy to be there 🙂 Its going to be a riot judging by the crowd.. tough lot there today
Get on with it! I hate all this showy bollocks before the fight.
whats with all this blowing kisses malarky?
Can't be bothered with PPV but hard to follow on R5L!!!
nothing much happened so far
Frampton up slightly?
frampton more agressive but they look like they shouldve gone to specasvers as they are punching a lot of air
Slightly?
4 rounds to 0 - hes the only one making a fight of it.
Sometimes you have to wonder about Jim Watt. i mean how can Frampton land cleanly when all Quigg is doing is defending?
my favoutirte line is the "eachy peachy"
more action in a playground game of slapsies.
much better....warming nicely
Quigg still needs a knockout and hes not going to get it.
finally the turn of the tide.. we might even get a draw here
Mike Costello making it sound good on the wireless - superb commentator.
we might even get a draw here
That would be a total travesty.
good response by the fighters..!
That would be [s] a total travesty.[/s] another payday 🙂
I have 117-112
Thank fudge for that.
A guy throws 1 punch per round for the first 6 rounds and a judge gives him the fight. What a joke
very true .. much like eubank v saunders ..slow start
Frampton deserves it for trying to box first 6 rounds
Bizarre judging I had it 2 rounds for Frampton, I think Quigg was nervous to begin with.
Says he will stay at 122, no mention of Rigondeaux though!
