Lots of food put in the feeders and quite a few birds. But no tubbies.

Hmm, what's that?

Pile in lads

Much easier to set up a tripod near the feeder, use a 70mm lens, prefocus and then use a wireless remote when I peer out the window and see something happening.
They're getting use to the camera now and the noise doesn't bother them. I'll set up either flashes or LED video lights tomorrow.

Not true.

Rats are the natural prey of UB40.

The Red Kites are starting to go for the rats now. I'm not certain if they are just scaring them away from their food or going for the kill but the rats hide when they are around.
I've seen a kite take a young sparrow and others have seen them take very small live things.
Maybe we'll let them kill the rats before we cull them again. By that I mean a UK policy, not me out in the garden with an air rifle.

He won't have sent the heads with the bodies. For starters they'll be putting them on chickens to produce furry eggs as they retain the heat better when soft boiled.

Cant you just use the heads as egg cosies?
That'll give the kids nightmares.
Not too certain how well I'll sleep now.

Same issue here

On pole feeders have an upside down flowerpot ( V large , plastic, drilled to fit pole) to stop climbers and on hanging ones these

Can get Perspex as well

They do a mouse/rat version of that gas-powered trap, you know…
