5 piece drumkit - the aforementioned metal band of corpses must have abandoned it after their music video.

It's a good mile from the nearest road through some woods that are ankle deep in mud for the most part of the year, including a hill that's hard enough to walk up it's so slippy - someone really wanted a drumkit up there.

Came across this in the middle of the woods about a mile from any road

Amazing to find such a nice bike just lying around.

If you closely nearby you'll find the Great Elf Tree.

In the first year I arrived here I found some nice twisty trails in the forest running through the middle of the city. Then one day in the summer I was riding along said trails and found out how these trails had come about. I came round one of the corners to find one man humping another against a tree with an audience of about six other men watching on all with their gentleman bits out playing with them. I was so shocked that all I could think to say was 'Guten Tag!' as I rode through the middle of them all. I found out the hard way (fnarr) that the woods were popular for cottaging.

A rider hanging from a tree by his back pack!!

Was at Fort William and just going over hip replacement, I could hear shouts of 'help', pulled up and a rider had gone over the big LH berm into trees and got hung up, even he was laughing when I got there to help him 😀

A pair of ladies shoes screwed to a tree stump on a horrible muddy sludgy trail about 3 km from the nearest solid ground.

Sounds like Weavern Lane near Ford, North Wilts! There’s been a pair of women’s shoes nailed to a stump for years, I first noticed them out walking along there with friends back in the 80’s.

Forgot to add mine to this before:

Fireroad climb up next to a DH track early evening.

Saw the grim reaper walking down the DH track. Sythe and all.

Not weird at all but my son(13) was chuffed to find $20 on the trail last week. He nearly took us both out as I narrowly avoided him when he stopped ahead of me to pick the money up.

There's been a tumble dryer in my local woods for years, I took a dump in it a few months ago. I wonder if I'll get a mention in this thread?

A load of folk (20 odd) dressed up in medieval type gear doing a sacrifice type reinactment. They clearly didn't expect to see anyone as the look on their faces was one of horror when they saw me. I just took one look and pedalled off very quickly. I still hope to this day it was a reinactment....

Ohh! I forgot I had one.

I was being shown around Ilkley Moor and could hear quite loud singing (sounded like The Lion King). We can round a corner into an open plain and saw a load of people all dressed in white robes singing all together.

Got talking to them on a car park later and it turns out they were some sort of African church choir, very friendly and chatty too 🙂

Seemed like a bit of a trek to got for a sing song though.

Ilkley

I found a fully laid up dinner table. Silverware, candidates, crystal glasses, the works.

And a girl who must have lost one of her contact lenses in her boyfriends lap.

A fully decorated Xmas tree in the middle of nowhere.

@johnw1984 I saw that too. They were all camping in the woods near the old quarry. Very unusual!

Pretty mundane, a Renault head light in the middle of Friston and a WW2 phosphorus mortar shell.

Funnily enough another fully decorated Christmas tree a couple of years back (up in Setmurthy Woods near Cockermouth).

We decorate the one and only remaining fir on an area they butchered up at black rocks in Derbyshire. Done it for the last 7 years. May well need step ladders this year to reach the top. We went "viral" this year on a local "derbyshire" Facebook page.

A zombie!

Riding the old 'top' single track through robins wood near ticknall I could see something white reflecting in my bike lights from about half a mile away and just assumed it was a forestry sign. Eventually came round a corner to be confronted by a zombie mask and costume strung across the trail! Properly shat myself.

A couple banging over their car bonnet.

Riding down seven spouts hill to the JT (same area) there was a car parked on the corner where the BW comes out with the aforementioned couple doing it like mammals on the discovery channel. Best but was about 15min later I was riding back up with the rest of the Monday night group and they were still there only this time we're climbing the hill so going a lot slower much to their embarrassment!

Hedge porn, lingerie etc.

Squaddies in ditches, including once being stood about 20m from two groups who'd obviously been stalking one another suddenly blipping up and firing a few hundred blanks at each other!

Once rode over a tripwire/flare on TH, well someone else did, I just timed it perfectly behind them to get the full effect as it went off!
