How come when I type fox 160 into the search box it searches for fox AND 160 which I'd expect it to but when I type fox 36 it just searches for fox?
I think it's been like this for years but it annoys me. Does anyone else experience this and how do you get around it?

Then use the search tools to refine results down to last week, month etc:
The forum search doesn't like 2 character 'words', and basically ignores them. Annoying but them as per Jamie link, not the end of the world...
The Google search mentioned above is the most effective way IMO
However, you could also use quotation marks to confine the search if use the forum search tool eg "fox 36" http://singletrackmag.com/forum/search.php?q=%22Fox+36%22
Tried google before but when I'm searching for something in the for sale classifieds
Like so...
fox 36 -wanted site:singletrackworld.com/forum/forum/classifieds
Each result link just takes me to a seemingly random stw classifieds for sale list. Try it and you should see what I mean.
And I don't want to do "fox 36" as it assumes those two words will appear next to each other in the ad so may miss ads.
Use a wildcard then
Fox AND 36*
Jota you're a genius. Obvious really. Cheers
