18 out of 40 topics on forum page unrelated to bikes 🙁
Including this one 😉
I see the tags are nothing to do with bikes either 🙂
It's a chat forum. Bike forum is for bikes.
tag:attention seeking knob
please don't say that about poor wombat 🙁
<- Bike on the other side. 😆

no, I mean this page: http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/
Well what are those of us who are not biking right now meant to talk about then? 🙂

You actually counted? Slow evening?
Don't look at it then. If you want just bike chat then just go to that forum. Or is that too hard ?
and your point is?
To be honest, I'm only still here because of the people. I'm bored of bikes. Riding bikes, talking about bikes, dreaming about bikes. My wife woke me up last night cos I was pedalling in my sleep (true).

I only use the combined view, all about bikes would be dull too, but I was struck by the high proportion of unbikey topics 🙁
I think u need to get out more Mr Barnes 😉
I don't have time to search out appropriate forums for the random and fleeting things that skitter through my mind on a daily basis........
So 22 out of 40 posts in the chat forum are about bikes. If all the bike forum posts are about bikes then about 75% of all posts on a bike website forum are about bikes?
I'm spending more time in the Chat Forum these days cos I get so many replies to my 'bimbo' posts. 😀
Software engineer foxed by human behaviour.
Hardly something worth posting about.
i never go on the bike forum. i ride bikes, i like riding bikes, but i have no interest in discussing them. i'd rather discuss complete bollox
Was this thread posted by a certain Mr Barnes who constantly iterates that he's not interested in bikes?
Yes Dez, I believe it was...
🙂
I hardly ever go on the bike forum. I could do so more often, since there are some worthy topics about biking rather than just 'what headset' etc.
this thread should be removed because of its irrelevance.
Reminds me of the whole "OT" debate, TF that got killed by the forum re-arrange.
sfb, 26 of the last 40 threads you have posted on have been in the chat forum.
In terms of topics started, you're doing a lot better- 30 out of the last 40 were in the bike forum.
have 8 posts, and i think that 2 are not about bike 🙄

thanks. I always use the combined page and never look at the icon which says which forum it's on. Usually I enjoy the mix of T and OT, but I noticed when so many posts were about cars or prams or footie and other tedious un bike related chatter!
Can I just say, even thought it's possibly irrelevant to this conversation about irrelevance, that I like bimbos.
cats are more interesting? yes
THere's a non bike forum? 😯
I don't go on the bike forum much because I don't buy much bike stuff!

That made me lol.

bikes no, riding yes 🙂 Still confused ?
Just think, this time last year 22 out of 40 threads were about the Big Bike Bash so haven't I been good this time around
so haven't I been good this time around
until now :o)
attention seeking at its best , utter pointless thread award of the century goes to sfb 😉
'software engineer foxed by human behaviour.

ah so he's a software engineer that explains it , odd bunch them lot
If there is a problem with none riding threads, then the chat forum needs to go, and people will then still post the none bike, none riding threads in the bike forum, result, chat would be back in a few weeks.
When people are out riding, how much time is spent talking about life, how much solely spent talking about bikes & riding? I've ridden with people who insist that they've beaten Steve Peat on their "unique" Dawes, and that "you can ride on footpaths", yet take the conversation off biking and they are socially inept. I'd prefer to ride with people who have a life away from biking and can hold a reasonable conversation - -bit like using the forum.
