Fireworks turn our poor Greyhound into a quivering wreck so we like to take wee breaks out of Glasgow to somewhere quiet. Mrs. Rockplough is looking at a hut in Achaphubuil this time. I'm delighted at the prospect of getting some biking in but concerned that any big fireworks displays in Fort William would be problematic.

What's it like?

The only organised FW one was the LRFC one, but I’m not sure if that’ll be on this year. You would see and hear any non public display fireworks from Achaphubil though.

Good luck escaping fireworks. Couple of years ago we spent 31st December at Coire Fionnaraich Bothy in Torridon. No need for a watch. At midnight the sound of fireworks from the houses on the road 3 miles away.
