I've got an 02 Focus, reckon I could fit 3 6ft concrete fence posts in it and then on a different trip 3 6ft gravel boards?

Dunno, but it reminds me of the time me and my FiL picked up a woodburner in his Escort van. Just as we were driving off the guys said. "Watch how you go lads, if you have a crash that will come through the seats and ****ing kill you."

It was a tense 30 mile drive home.

As a Mk1 Focus evangelist, I cannot see how you can get the passenger seat to go into any kind of formation that would allow. It can take 6ft planks etc, but concrete posts? It sounds impossible with the boot closed.

Can you not get the firm to drop off for beers?

You're in Stockport aren't you? I can help out with an insignia tomorrow afternoon if you get really stuck (for a lord of the pies, pie 🙂 )

I'd still recommend negotiating delivery.

If you take the rear seats out and fold the passenger seat flat you'll be amazed what fits.
