I'm curious, how do you stop the dog eating the cat's food?
We used to put the cat's food up high, on a shelf. Cat would jump up to it.
Dog has since died, not an issue any more 🙁
yep, cats food bowl goes up in the utility room sink, we used to put it on the shelf but the cat would eat a few mouthfuls and chuck it on the floor for the dog - she hasn't yet worked out how to pick it up for the dog and the dog is too old to jump up.
Put it up on a window ledge. The cat never eats all her food at once so if we didn't do this the dog would just barge her out of the way and eat it all.
Interestingly, our dog is scared of the cat and normally will avoid contact, unless there's food about in which case she'll chase the cat out of the room.
train the dog.

The Dogs don't go upstairs so the cats have their food up there, they can sleep in peace up there and they can come downstairs and bug the dogs when they feel like it
just bought two baby gates*, unfortunately the slippery little bugger has worked out how to slip through the banister rails! (blockades are now being erected)
Feed them separately and pickup the bowls afterwards.
And see that thing that Muddy posted ^^^, Rupert would destroy it in seconds, to get to the food! (looks good for better behaved dogs)
*This is to be a temporary measure until he's better trained/behaved
