I don't even know where Prestwich is, but already I am in deep sorrow for those poor people there. 😥

Oh, how the other half live. I wish I lived the high life in Prestwich 🙁

And Fred, you'll be riding around Prestwich in February. There... that should quicken your pace a tad 😉

My local light switch on ended in a bloody fireworks display!

I was out walking my dogs one of which is terrified of fireworks and ended up running home

not relevant really but just wanted to have a moan 😡

Samia Smith is tiny. All the members of the Corrie cast that I have seen are about 3/4 scale. Even Kirk is only 5'3" and the miserable one who looks like a fish is only 17cm tall.

I guess it means they can use smaller sets.

Really spectacular stuff. "Vegas lite"

I hear they had white Siberian Tigers on show at the Railway and Nat.

Liek a scene from Phoenix Nights. That is a video of the archetypal damp squib!

I bet Samia got a couple of grand for her trouble. Unlike all the other poor mites.

If you are into lip reading, it looks as though the Mayor is saying "FFS" at a about 1 minute in which is both succinct and accurate 🙂

I think I need to sell up and relocate. That looks too good to be true!

We were going to go with the kids, but after some discussion over lunch we decided that we couldn't be arsed.

Me and the boy watched Superman (again) instead.

Shockingly under-policed IMHO.

That's the trouble with living in Preswich Harry. You get so used to this kind of glitz and glamour that you just end up taking it for granted

Not all of us can afford to be so blase

Actually after watching it again Derek Starship makes a *very* good point. I think we can all be grateful that the occasion passed without incident.

One day they will put the tree in straight.

Previous high lights have been several metres of crowd control barriers round the tree making it resemble the polar bear enclosure at Chester Zoo and a string of lights that was too short, so they only decorated one side of it.

Glad to see that, an albeit small amount of, my council tax isn't being pissed away.
