We haven't got a pet. Dog died in January & the cat died 3 days ago.
I can cope for now but the time will come. 😉

Weird isn't it. I lost my best mate last November, and now my other dog, who is 16, also looks to be on her last days. Not having a dog after 10 years is going to be a challenge. Not really the right time either to get another one, as I plan to move within the next year. People who have never had pets don't really understand how they become a part of your family, and losing them can be just as great a loss.

... but have a dog coming on Friday 😀
When I lost my dog of 17 years a couple of years ago i was gutted, within two weeks I had a new dog as I wouldn't be without one.

In a former life, there was the stereotypical domestic set up, including pets.
It aint easy when they go, however that may be.
Current lifestyle doesn't permit responsible pet ownership.
