I know, but I can't get 2 seats together buying through official site and really want to get tickets as xmas pressy for my son.

Never bought through a non-official site before - any opinions on using Viagogo (Man City v Leicester 20th Feb) assuming I'm happy to pay the price?

Thx

I would imagine it's cheaper to join the home club's ticket scheme and buy them direct. Swot I do at Chelsea for jnr_p (£20-£25 each p/a to join, price of ticket on top), we can usually get a pair of tickets and Stamford Bridge is notoriously over-subscribed because it's relatively small, so you shouldn't have a problem at the Etihad.

Anything's better than handing over cash to touts like Viagogo and their ilk.

I have used them several times for European matches. Only once was there a problem with the tickets and they provided more before the match.

We paid a premium for the tickets but it was the easiest way to get them.

Didn't think you were "allowed" to re sell footy tickets? Obviously I thought wrong.

There was something on r4 you and yours re viagogo, something like outrageous fees, illegality. Sorry i wasnt really listening but it was enough to put me off.

I would always avoid paying a premium that doesnt go back into the game.

Your money your choice tho

Thanks all - it's definitely not my first choice, shame there's no alternative, the 'fees' really are eye-wateringly high..

Might be worth looking at the club's hospitality packages. I got tickets for a liverpool match doing this that was the same as 2 viagogo tickets. Meant we got free food and tour etc so made a day of it.

They’re just a legal ticket tout (rip off merchants). The tickets will say £75 each but when you go to pay they add loads of fees on. How they get away with it is beyond me.

I also don’t believe Man City have sold out

Viagogo = Scumbags. I'm a city season card holder, should be no problem to get tickets for that game from the official site (season ticket holders can resell so they will appear) or through Facebook groups.

Also some blocks are (unofficially) standing so you could get two tickets close to each other and stand together

Feel free to drop me an email if you need help

I heard the R4 item (linky) too.
Some within the industry resell tickets that can only be used if accompanied by the original purchaser, some event promoters are cancelling resold tickets, etc.
In short, massive prices, no guarantees
