The baggies fans definitely playing their part.
that aged well! 😕
70’s retro-tastic! A game stopped because of crowd trouble?
There was a wolves fan in the Albion end that got a bit excited...no excuse for anything that we've seen here today though
Well that was a bit embarrassing for both clubs!! You would hope that both sets of supporters could behave themselves.
It begs the question, how can you purchase tickets for the home end? I thought club membership made it impossible?
Any way, if we draw Maidstone at home then the magic of the cup is very much alive and well. It would be special to have big George back at the Molineux.
Anything possible for tbe right price. I get offered tickets all the time for matches in home and away ends.
I suppose if I was told that I'd have to go back to Wolverhampton after the game I'd riot.
. I get offered tickets all the time for matches in home and away ends.
So they were sold to Wolves fans by Albion fans?
Then I’m sure they will be traced and banned. Idiots!!
Well that was a bit embarrassing for both clubs!! You would hope that both sets of supporters could behave themselves.
Nah, nowt like a bit of old school rucking to spice things up a bit. As long as no innocents are hurt of course. Football has always been a sport played on both the pitch and in the stands.
So they were sold to Wolves fans by Albion fans?
It's the only explanation.
Football has always been a sport played on both the pitch and in the stands.
not since cctv in grounds. Admittedly there has been organised trouble in the vicinity but not inside the stands for a long time.
not since cctv in grounds.
I’m not necessarily talking about physical violence, more the tribal rivalry between fans (especially in local derbies). As in this case every now and again it boils over but it’s not something to get bothered about. Or would we rather the crowd sits quietly and offers polite applause like in the tennis?
Maybe a bit too tribal though.. 😂

So it was a Wolves fan in the wrong end, with other Wolves fans wishing him death? Not the brightest, are they?
The lad in the twitter link is Albion, but the trouble flared up initially when a wolves fan in the Albion end celebrated the second goal - bringing out the Albion morons who wanted a scuffle.
While that was going on, the police were getting handy with the batons on Albion fans down the other end of the stand I was in...not sure what sparked that but there were plenty of bottles etc going between the two sets of fans in that corner.
Cheer up, binners. At least you're not an Ipswich fan!
Well this is going exactly as I thought it would
Nah, nowt like a bit of old school rucking to spice things up a bit.
As in this case every now and again it boils over but it’s not something to get bothered about.
Dazh that’s abject nonsense. The sport of football has nothing to do with Neanderthals and dinosaurs knocking lumps out of each other in the stands. The culture of football has also mostly moved on from that, for the better. You are wrong to celebrate this rubbish.
As long as no innocents are hurt of course. Football has always been a sport played on both the pitch and in the stands.
“Innocents”? WTH are you on about? Like it’s a pretend war between two honourable armies? That is sad and pathetic.
Celebrate tribalism and rivalries all you want but the minute it spills over into violence it’s fine to step back and think about what’s really important. Most right thinking fans know football is the most important of the least important things.
Went to Birmingham City Women Vs London City Lionesses today and was reminded once more how far more enjoyable football is without the macho bullshizzle.
Most right thinking fans
WTF is ‘right thinking’? Look, I get it, football is being gentrified. That’s a bad thing IMO. It’s a working class sport, and that comes with a bit of close to the bone questionable behaviour. It’s what gives it its edge and makes it so popular. Take it away and it’ll be dead, just like it was during covid.
Like it’s a pretend war between two honourable armies?
That’s exactly what it is. Although it’s got bollox all to do with honour, it’s just an outlet for frustrated aggression of the mostly male fan base. Better that’s channeled inside a football ground in a mostly controlled environment than elsewhere.
and was reminded once more how far more enjoyable football is without the macho bullshizzle
Women’s football has finally found its raison d’être. How about we stop trying to turn the men’s game into the nice polite version that the women’s game is and vice versa? Everyone will be happy.

A mate keeps saying that when he attends women's games with his girls.
Then he goes to Leeds mens matches and turns into one of dazh's bellend wannabe stormtroopers.
I just don't get it.
Women’s football has finally found its raison d’être. How about we stop trying to turn the men’s game into the nice polite version that the women’s game is and vice versa? Everyone will be happy.
It was just just to illustrate the point that football doesn't have to be a shit experience solely for meatheads. I've been to two cup finals with Blues, both fantastic, enjoyable experiences that didn't need any "edge" to make them awesome. Conversely, I saw us at home against Hull with a crowd full of anger at a manager they didn't want and it was just shit. First time I've ever left a match before it finished.
I just don’t get it
It's not difficult. It's an outlet, the one time where you can go out for a few pints with your mates, forget about everyday niceties and talk utter shite all day, then go to the match and have a bit of a shout and if lucky celebrate a win and have a laugh. Yes some people take it way too far as we saw yesterday but it's not often that happens so no need to get all high and mighty about it. Football has always been like this, it's where the famous 'atmosphere' comes from, and is the only sport which does it (apart from maybe boxing). If you don't like that then fine, don't go, but don't try to make it something it's not because it will be the death of the sport.
football doesn’t have to be a shit experience solely for meatheads
I guess it's the difference between home and away matches. Home matches are safe and relaxed, quite often boring even at the grounds which are famed for their atmosphere and you get gimmicks like flag days and fireworks to try to make it more entertaining. Then you go away and it feels like invading enemy territory, you drink a lot more, you stand up all game instead of sitting down, you shout and sing more, and the crowd generally has the more crazy lunatic fringe among it. Maybe it's just me but away matches were always miles better IMO. I used to know a lot of toon fans who only went to the home games so they could get their hands on the away tickets.
WTF is ‘right thinking’?
It's not difficult. Anyone that can enjoy football without thinking "an old school ruck" in the crowd involving weapons and hospitalisation isn't something to get bothered about.
Look, I get it, football is being gentrified. That’s a bad thing IMO.
If you mean "poor people can no longer afford to watch football", I agree this is a bad thing. But I don't think you mean that.
It’s a working class sport, and that comes with a bit of close to the bone questionable behaviour.
Not sure what you are trying to imply about working class people here? Also I'm pretty sure hooliganism crosses classes, but not so much gender or race.
It’s what gives it its edge and makes it so popular. Take it away and it’ll be dead, just like it was during covid.
No one is saying we should take the crowd away? Passion from fans and players is definitely part of it, but:
it’s just an outlet for frustrated aggression of the mostly male fan base. Better that’s channeled inside a football ground in a mostly controlled environment than elsewhere.
Why the hell should a football game be an excuse for a bunch of hooligans to have a fight? Everyone needs to let off steam, but most of us manage it with knocking the hell out of each other in front of a load of people that were there to watch a game of footie. Trust me, I am a man. I (with a bunch of other men mostly) choose to watch my local club to avoid the drunk/coked up numpties you're saying are somehow the soul of football.
At best you're using football as an excuse for some people unable to control themselves after a few beers/lines - can't you see how destructive and pointless that reasoning is?
People shouldn't rise to Dazh's comments – I am not entirely sure they believe what they are saying themselves half of the time – they are just trying to get reactions out of others with their claimed opinions.
Doh. Caught by the troll. Thanks johndoh, will step away from the keyboard now.
I guess it’s the difference between home and away matches.
Nah, it's morons being fannies, whether they're home or away.
Anyone that can enjoy football without thinking “an old school ruck” in the crowd involving weapons and hospitalisation isn’t something to get bothered about.
Think the hospitalisation (the bloke covered in blood) at West Brom yesterday was a result of the cops and the weapon was a police baton? All I'm saying is that the handwringing and outrage on display whenever you get a tiny bit of trouble at a football match is unnecessary. If anyone causes trouble, deal with them and carry on. That is all. 🙄
Caught by the troll.
Not a troll at all, just honest.
Some film of Daz from a few years ago…
Binners you should know that as a longtime veggie animal sympathiser I'd always draw the line at punching a horse.
Anwyay, I'm genuinely bemused/amused at the howls of outrage about West Brom yesterday. Nothing more than a bit of over-exuberance as far as I can see. In the annals of English football hooliganism there has been much, much worse. 🤷♂️
If you enjoy watching players hitting the woodwork then Darwin Núñez on match of the day is for you.
Gotta love him, predictably unpredictable, kept going and set up the fourth.
Not sure if Liverpool were great or Chelsea awful tonight? First half was like 2016-18 with frenzied gengen-pressing!
Chelsea were given a hiding today, but how on earth was that not a penalty on Nkunku? What are VAR watching?
I think it’s called levelling up the Spurs one v Liverpool.
It was 3-1 at the time so had it been given - and scored - it’d have been squeaky bum time!
Isn't there a game on tonight... where will the Wolves fans be:)...who is Mrs Binners betting on?...asking for a friend;)
I'm only interested in FA fun but bump!
Awful, awful penalty decision.
Agreed. How’s that given when the Chelsea one(s) last night weren’t? United look more solid than of late, should have been out of sight by half time though.
Subbing Martinez off, their best defender, for Maguire to protect a one goal lead? 😬
Ah, he’s injured. As you were.
I’m sorry, but hahahhahhaha.
Edit: WTaF
Fair play to United after giving away such a shambolic equaliser!
Again…. exactly what I expected. When Marcus scored after 4 minutes I thought ‘here we go’ with an awful sense of foreboding
It’s the hope that kills you
We don’t half make things hard for ourselves. You wouldn’t think it’d be too hard to manage a game and defend a two goal lead in the second half? Apparently not. It’s absolutely ****ing shambolic! 🙄
Our defending in the first half was woeful and it was never ever a penalty. Young Pedro should have been booked for diving. United should have been four up and out of sight by half time.
No complaints here but I do think GON should have changed things in the first half when it was obvious Semedo and Doherty were being overrun.
Greenwood was probably thinking that another few months, a bit of press and so on and he might be back, rehabilitated and raring to go for ManU, then he fell out with Bellingham!
Toon v Luton match is the craziest game I’ve seen in a long time and there’s stil 20 mins left. Could be 6-6 at this rate.
would have been if you hadn't mentioned it.
How can we take 6/6 against Villa and 1/6 against Luton? I'm a huge fan of Eddie and Jase but surely there's got to be more we do tactically to be able to beat relegation level teams?
Sheffield United could be onto a hiding tonight, 4-0 after 30 minutes and there's still time to lose the head!
How can we take 6/6 against Villa and 1/6 against Luton?
it’s a puzzle. Think it comes down to a lack of physicality in midfield. Without Joelinton we’re fragile against more physical sides. That’s not to say the better sides are less physical but they at least look to move the ball faster rather than relying on winning individual battles. Bruno tries his best to be the hard man but it’s mostly hot air, Longstaff is a natural attacker and Miley is only 18 and not built for it yet. Sounds daft but sometimes I wonder if playing Schar in a defensive midfield role would be a decent stopgap? 🤷♂️
Could be a cricket score, this. I’ve got Watkins as captain on my FF team thiugh, as well as McGinn, cementing my mid-table obscurity
How do Newcastle not win such games? Because in their front three, while very good, they don’t have anyone of the quality of Saka, Haaland, Foden, Silva, Salah, Diaz.
They’re usually better defensively as well - four goals shipped at home to Luton is poor.
Felt for Luton. 4-2 up. Most right thinking people would love to have seen that. Never mind. Seeing Newcastle ship four at home is entertaining in itself.
Most right thinking people would love to have seen that.
Right thinking? It’s a f***** game man! Grow up FFS.
Nah, nowt like a bit of old school rucking to spice things up a bit
.
It’s a f***** game man! Grow up FFS
mmmkay…..
What a goalfest today though. Sheffield Utd are having a tough season.
I’ll laugh like a drain when simultaneously they sell out to a state owned sports investor AND Klopp leaves and they go into a post Fergusonesque spiral.
I always enjoy the mental gymnastics of thinking a rapacious US sports conglomerate owning their club is any better than a bunch of arab billionaires. Still lets hope it doesn't happen, I'm not sure the rest of us could stand the bleating and wailing. All this Klopp bollocks has reminded me once again that when it comes fawning over-ramanticism of the game there is no one better at it than the scousers.
rapacious US sports conglomerate
How many journalists have they dismembered?
How many journalists have they dismembered?
7 3/4
The ownership of premier league teams is a pretty grubby business - thanks Roman, see what you started - but comparing the brutal Saudi state to the rest! They’re a cut above the rest dazh.
Back to the actual football… let’s see if we have a bit more success defending a two goal lead this time?
has your mrs got any money on the "special one" being back at the bridge by wednesday Binners ?
He might well be!
Sounds like Chelsea were shockingly bad. Booed off and the Wolves fans giving Poch a rousing chorus of ‘sacked in the morning’
I see lots of Spurs fans on Twitter saying their plant/sleeper cell is doing his job perfectly 😂
A clean sheet for us too, which is unheard of nowadays. Not a bad day. This Liverpool Arsenal game is going to be interesting
Credit to Gary O Neil to get them up from the defeat on Thursday. Wolves showed resilience after going one down again and bossed Chelsea for a lot of the game.
I for one was quite underwhelmed at his appointment but now I’m getting worried that he’ll be the target of more glamorous clubs. He’s done an amazing job!
Wolves are a pretty handy side. We really rode our luck to get a win on Thursday, though it should have been done and dusted by half time.
How the hell have Liverpool got a 1-1 scoreline at half time?
Arsenal have been absolutely all over them. That was a ridiculous goal to concede. Utterly shambolic defending
I can’t understand him starting Havertz, who’s absolutely woeful, as a central striker when he’s got Nketiah on the bench, who isn’t?
That's Arsenal nailed on to lose/draw their next two then.
I'm still wondering what dirt Raya has on Arteta to be preferred as keeper.
606 on five live is always comedy gold, but they’ve just had a Chelsea fan on saying they need to spend more money and buy more players in the summer.
He mentioned Olly Watkins. He didn’t have an answer as to why a star striker would leave a team presently in the champions league places and playing great football for the club presently 11th who can’t string two passes together, having spent a billion quid on the squad
Oh look, the scousers lost a game. Won’t be long before they’re demanding a replay. Because you know, they’re Liverpool. 🙄
Fair play to Arsenal. The better side today. They were unlucky to go in level at half time. 3-1 probably a fair result given their dominance in the first half. Bad day at the office for Liverpool, especially Konate and Van Dyck 😂 - you don’t want your two centre backs to shit the bed away at Arsenal! The good run was bound to come to an end. No complaints.
Thoughts with Conor Bradley. He was looking really sharp the last couple of weeks and his dad’s passing has come at an unfortunate time for him. Hopefully he’ll bounce back.
That poor lad has had something of a contrasting week. He’s looked amazing, probably having the time of his life then that happens. Hope he comes back strong soon and picks up where he left off
Do Chelsea fans have any other chants more creative than just shouting ‘Chelsea’ repeatedly?
Heck of a free kick by Fernandez.
Do Chelsea fans have any other chants more creative than just shouting ‘Chelsea’ repeatedly?
Seemingly not. Just every 30 minutes a 30 second rendition of "Chewlsea, Chewlsea, CHEWLSEA, Chewlsea".
Looking forward to them hosting Leeds in the next round - most Leeds fans wanted it. And for all the press bigging up Chelsea's performance last night, I thought Villa were just REALLY bad, not that Chelsea were brilliant.
Do Chelsea fans have any other chants more creative than just shouting ‘Chelsea’ repeatedly?
Don't they have a "C'mon Chelsea" for variety and all that.
Seems they won the FA Cup last night. And with Arsenal winning the league on Sunday things are pretty much wrapped up for this season 😀
We had a discussion not long back on here about the best volleys and there’s a serious contender there from Bruno Guimarães. Almost De Canio-esque with the outside of the boot
Bayer Leverkusen doing a good job of sabotaging Harry Kane’s expectations of silverware!
Maybe Spursyness is infectious?
Do Chelsea fans have any other chants more creative than just shouting ‘Chelsea’ repeatedly?
Long ago Chelsea used to have one of the coolest chants "Blue is the colour football is the game..etc" one of better footie songs. They seemed to have forgotten it.
By some odd coincidence I've actually seen Chelsea live more than any other club. My best mate was a Chelsea fan and his rich mate used to let me me have his season ticket. Quite an intimidating atmosphere I remember.
Millwall lite.
