Name one food and one drink that you'd REALLY miss if they were discontinued.

For me-:
Pot Noodle Bombay Badboy and Strongbow.

Not really.

I would miss Wensleydale cheese and Twining's breakfast tea.

I wouldn’t want to live in a world without chips. Can you imagine it? Maybe that’s what hell looks like? Imagine the irony of the fiery pit of eternal damnation being completely free of deep fat fryers?

and Stella. While a lot of wives would be grateful to remain unbeaten, my life would be emptier for it. Sorry ladies

Booths is reportedly for sale. If it gets taken over by Tesco I don't know what I'd do. Not just one foodstuff but the whole glorious range.

It’s Amazon in the frame apparently Captain

Anyway.... the design of the point of sale in their stores has dropped noticeably since the end of last year. Have you not noticed? 😉

Real Ale.

Honestly I think I might commit Harri Carri if Beer wasn’t available any longer.

🍺🍻

I have plenty of other favourites, obvz is obvz, but I do really enjoy small brewery crafted Beer.

there is very little that they"make" could discontinue that you couldnt continue to make.....other than the stuff that is chemical based......like carling 😉

who needs a deep fat fryer for chips....

[img] [/img]

Id miss fruit and veg..... significant amounts of the colour on your plate and the flavours in your mouth come from fruit and veg 😀

You're all dirty bastards.

This last week has been my first proper "rest" week since proper hard Coached bike training started in October.  I've also been away from home all week in hotel, sometimes with colleagues.

The resulting poor faulty food, several beers, late nights, early mornings and hard work with zero exercise has made me feel really terrible.  I'm fidgety and want to do exercise, the thought of a couple of beers during this afternoons rugby now comes as a little depressing.

So the moral of this story is don't get fit, it ruins every possible experience of being a couch potato you can think of.

I'm coeliac- gluten free- so it happens all the time. Sainsburys currently aren't selling their gf pork pies, this is a crime against nature. Tesco stopped selling their rather magnificent Celebration Cake (though Sainsburys now have a smaller version which is almost as good) and if they stop selling their chocolate and cranberry cookies I will burn them to the ground

And more generally, ingredient changes which mean I can't eat something I used to.

I was in a hotel this week when a work colleague announced, "No thanks, I've had too much bacon this week".

The room went silent.
