...there seems to be x1 pre-sale code doing the rounds!

I've logged on to Ticketmaster and code has unlocked access to tickets.

Could this be rescinded if I buy, or am I overthinking this!!?

So when is the concert?

I’ve no interest in seeing foo fighters just find it interesting recently that with all these scrambles for tickets on day of release months ahead how easy it has been to get gig tickets close to the event from twickets.
Seems lots of people must panic by as the fomo is so strong then have to change their plans.
We got tickets for pulp at Sheffield arena on the day they went on sale then our plans changed so have sold them on, wife going with her mate the night before and I fully expect to be able to get a ticket to join them if I really want. My daughter bought arctic monkeys tickets via fan presale last year, we weren’t going to bother them there was so many offered for sale in the week or two before it seemed rude not to… and I stood next to a couple who had bought their Tickets at 3 o’clock that afternoon. Today I bought two standing tickets for blur at Wembley a week on Saturday. Face value plus 10%. I’d sooner have the money in my account for 9 months than rush to buy in future I think!🤷🏼‍♂️

June next year...

https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/foo-fighters-tickets/artist/776005

And for me it depends on the artist as to how far in advance book - there's many bands I'd like to see but not really fussed if I miss out. I certainly won't pay some of the crazy inflated 'get me in at any price' type prices from the likes of ViaGoGo.

I don’t think it’s a FOMO, we go to loads of gigs and buy at presale most of the time.

Kids want to see Taylor Swift next year, we’ve got Presale access for those, getting tickets in general release is going to be a challenge. If we fail which is likely then we’d end up paying over the odds.

Same for Muse later this year. We have presale access, possibly have a better chance of getting their tickets on general sale than we would with Taylor Swift, but we have presale so may as well try.

I did try to buy Foofighters tickets using that code, while it gave access said “We couldn’t find the tickets you’re looking for”, that was all venues and seated and standing options.

No FOMO just people who love going to live events. Kids would be gutted if they don’t get to see Taylor Swift, but no worries if I don’t get to see Muse.

It’s definitely fomo in our house!

I wasn’t meaning to dig at people buying tickets on presale. Have done it myself in the past for eg the cure, just really pleasantly surprised how tickets for sold out concerts are available a few days before for a smidge over face value now. Surprised viagogo can stay in business

@w00dster

^^ code is still working for Manchester on 15th - standing.

Select - "2022 Bookers Presale Standing Ticket"

I've got a feeling the Taylor Swift ones are going to be pre-sale/pre-registered only.

In the US they had something like 20 million people register for 1.5 million tickets!

Every teenage girl in the country wants to see her next summer - mine included. TBF we did see her last time she toured and she put on an incredible show.

@monkeyboyjc

I'd be annoyed too - it only came to my attention earlier this afternoon. I was going to wait for general release on Friday.

There's even a website with the codes on!...

Yes - the  email came out yesterday.

I would have just gone for a digital release of the album too...

Managed to get 2 sets of 2 tickets in the end for Cardiff so all's good, but wanted 4 seats together for London which seemed impossible.

big difference between standing tickets/general admission and seating though (especially if you want a decent or choice of seats!)

Loads more seated tickets than standing available for blur. I’d much prefer to stand. Standing tickets always sell out first in my experience. Depends on the artist/audience I guess.

I suppose the “best” seats are harder to come by. Hadn’t really looked where they are. Colleague at work just nabbed a seated ticket for pulp on Friday 14th in what she says is a good area. No standing tickets for sale at the moment.

Are other people still able to buy tickets now/this afternoon? Ticketmaster is telling me that there's nothing available, same message since about 9:45 this morning?

Yeah not too surprised Blur aren't selling out in 2023 😃

also yeah "best" seats very venue dependant... like the nightmarish Section 4 at the O2 in London!! Definitely worth paying a premium to avoid being up there!

Anyway - seated at a rock gig!!! 🤔🤣

Had to buy seated tickets for Biffy last year as standing had sold out. Horrible experience, just felt completely out of it. Some artists, yeah, you sit and appreciate the music wafting over you. Rock gigs - naaaah! 🤘🤘

@pdids ticket master won't have  anything showing until tomorrow when they go on general release, this is the presale tickets for those that (did or didn't) preorder and buy the latest album, hence the code.

I'd only bother with seating for a big (arena/stadium) gig. IME, everyone is on their feet from the moment the (main) band stands till the end! The seats (and cupholders 😃) are appreciated though whilst sitting thru the support, and it's nice to know you're going to have a decent view without having to jostle! (I only feel this way since becoming old of course 😂)

You'd think - I banked on that too - but nope!!! There where even a couple nearby having a pushing and slagging off match with the people behind as they'd dared to stand up. 🙂

Never been to a stadium gig before, but I'd much rather have a seat than stood for 6+ hours. Seat allocation is also very near a bar for foofighters which is a bonus.

“We couldn’t find the tickets you’re looking for”

I tried to book QOTSA tickets in Halifax and this is all I got, that and a week prior of pre-orders going to all sorts of silly fans / members / paying VIP / etc. Gave up in the end, if they want me to pay upwards of £60 then they should make it easier, though probably sold out so they won't care.

No standing tickets for sale at the moment.

I'd imagine the average age of someone going to see Pulp would appreciate the opportunity to sit down at some point.

Wife and I and two sons booked standing for the 15th at Manchester.

It’s starting to look like a STW day out.
