So the plan was the first week in March to work from my van and run/hike/ride before and after work. Now the problem is I need a decent internet signal to do that! I've tried contacting the few sites there are and they all report really patchy signal which I knew having visited before. There must be somewhere I can stay that isn't too far away as I dont wanna be spending all week driving!?

Any locals or people who have visited got any top tips? I've got a choice between o2 and EE sims if that makes a difference to my chances of staying somewhere and being able to carry on working.

IME EE is far better than O2 in the Forest.

We generally stay at Rushmere Farm ( great site and position) and get 4G on Tesco. The site was sold last year and is currently being redevelpoed I believe so fingers crossed itll reopen soon. Also Broadmeadow caravan site in Ross has good 4G. Not sure when either of these will open this season, Easter ?

Bracelands is my go to camp site. No Vodafone signal though, I know this as I’m with them but my mate on ee did have some signal. Not sure it’s enough to work and be reliable.

Have you tried green acres campsite? It's nextdoor to us and we have pretty good 4G on o2 outside, not great inside the house but it has thick old stine walls.  It's pretty much over the road from some of the best offpiste in the area, has great walks to country pubs and endless potential for running routes too.

Worst case drop me a message and you can come and use our Wifi.

Scrap that, forgot that they don't reopen from winter break until later in march.

Ah yeah shame they're not open until April 1st. Deanwood Caravan and Campsite sound they may be alright but top end of the price scale really so may just end up with one or two nights instead of the whole week.

The whole valley from Lydney through Cannop to Lydbrook is a signal dead spot on most networks. Parkend has village wifi, but I've never used it so can't comment on how good it is.
