We're flying to Crete next week with a 4 year old and a 2 year old. From all I can work out, they simply travel in the normal seats, but it looks like we could take their car seats if we want to for sitting on the plane, but it's not clear.
Any experiences? Even nipping to the airport to ask didn't help!
I wouldn't bother with the car seats. We flew loads when ours were that age and never used them on the plane. It's just more stuff you have to carry/organise.
Worst mistake we ever made was being tight arses and not getting a seat for an 18 month old. Ours used to like a little wander around etc.
As above however I couldn't imagine having to carry on car seats as well as all the other associated crap.

I once bought a seat for our then 9 month old. When we checked in, I was told we couldn't use it - I can't remember the exact reasons given - insurance maybe? It must have been kosher though because Ryanair gave me a refund there and then. It was 12 years ago, before all the need to upload documents before flying etc.
Put a child either side of you just in the seat and revel in the extra room you have 😆
