Flying to Greece next Monday from Manchester T1 with Jet2 – has anyone experienced any delays with them this summer? Should I be planning on getting there many, many hours in advance (which could cause some logistical issues)? Thank you.

Daughter flew from T3 last Friday, security was fine, but plane delayed. I think it's a lottery though.

They have said not to turn up to Manc more than 3 hours ahead of your flight.

We had a nightmare at the start of July, we were asked to que in the car park and then at check in and then at security.

In the end about 30 people for our flight were all fast tracked through security and had to run to get to the plane.

We went from T1 with Jet2 about 3 weeks ago. Totally fine. Got there exactly 3 hours before flight (06.30 flight). Thru bag drop in 15 mins and same for security. 30 mins from entering building to airside. T2 on the other hand looked far busier. That was a Thursday morning but some schools hasn't broken up by then.

We also flew to Greece (Athens). Plane was on time and crew all great. No complaints at all.

Jet2 seem to have fewer delays and cancellations than easyJet and Ryanair - not sure if they've got their own baggage crew or more staff or what but most of the bad news that I see from Manchester is definitely centred on those two with most other stuff seeming to run to plan.

Flew Manchester T1 to Greece (Preveza) with Jet2 on the 27th July and back again on Sunday - no problems either way at all!

For those who have Flown Jet 2 from T1 Manchester are they using their own security area again down the ramp or the main security Area upstairs?

eve flew T1 Easyjet Sunday. Check in 5 mins, drop off bike box 25 mins, security 15 mins. So if we didn't have bikes it would have been quick. There's a page on Manchester website that gives live security wait times.

Kids flew a couple of weeks back when they were queueing out the door but this was mainly due to them not letting you through more than 3 hours before flight, so early arrivals had to wait outside.

Flew to Corfu last week with TUI. Other than the inbound plane being a bit late and us having to wait while it was turned around it was all fine. The airport was OK (T2 though).

Get there a bit early, take an ipod / ipad and just chill.
