Been up on bricks since Saturday. Feel like I've been hit by a truck.

Watching Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

My weekend was written off by it but I think mine is a really bad cold, didn't go into work today, starting to feel a bit better now but expecting the snot fairy to make a comeback at around 8 ish. Watched a good Norwegian film called Headhunters, enjoyed it.

If you can watch TV then you don't have the flu.

Yep real flu is really bad. Many people die from it in the U.K every year. Not to be mistaken for man flu.

trust me for the for the first week i couldnt get out of bed, eat, drink or sleep properly. mrs vader collapsed and stopped breathing resulting in a call derbyshires finest ambulance service (who were brilliant) once back home we were all given seriously high dose drugs and i was also given high dose steroids as i am an asthmatic. 3 weeks on and we are still not 100%. i havnt been that ill since i had pulmonary edema in argentina. the only one to kick it off completely (after 3 weeks) was minivader who gave it to us in the first place!

Just over it after four weeks plus a course of Relenza. You KNOW when you've had flu because a few weeks later you realise how much better you feel.

I was off work for 2 weeks. Felt like I could go back to work after one week but a walk around the house and out to the car to collect something proved that it wasn't possible. After 10 days I felt not too bad but still a bit dizzy and spaced out. 2 weeks in and I had lost 1/2 a stone.

So I was off the bike the week leading up to the 2 weeks off work, then another week off the bike after it. A month off the bike with that loss along with having the flu felt like it had taken a whole years fitness out of me. I'm miles behind and only put about 1/4 stone back on.

Anybody suffering from genuine 'flu would not be up and posting on a web forum!

I had it once as a student and I was amazed at how much I slept and how ill I felt for about four days.

Never had Flu until last year and then had it twice in 8 months. The first time it was combined with Gastroenteritis.

For the first 5 days I was in bed not being able to move and could only just manage to drag myself to the loo when needed. Started to feel better after 7 days so attempted to take the dog for a walk and got about 50 yards before I was close to passing out! Took about a month before I felt right again.

A truely horrible virus and sympathies to anyone who has had it. 🙁

aye Flu itself is a monster - I had 2 weeks off the planet with it about 11 years ago. This in fairness was just a shitty cold which left me feeling like I'd been in a car accident.

I was just amused by the speed at which STW posts degenerate into "I've had worse" 🙂

That said, Zooey Deschanel is still chuffing tidy.
