A florist opened up in our village and as I like to buy flowers regularly for Mrs mm I decided to start buying them from said florist.
Now compared to the offerings at Aldi I've found the florists flowers last half as long at twice the price! Howzatappen????
I would of thought the local florists goods would be fresher and last longer at least.
Aldi and the like buy in volume. Guaranteed sale. Buy lots sell lots. Quick turn around.
Florist buy probably from same wholesale supplier maybe... Slight better flowers maybe? But keep for a few days.
Aldi flowers are amazing for the price.... Compared to my sainsbury or the rip off that is interflora.
It's all down to the supplier & the buyer, buy cheap, sell expensive. Good in the short term but as you're realising not good for future sales.
