Are you actually the real molgrips? Or just an AI?
I.. I don't know!
It looks good, but then everything always does when shown at these types of presentations. Think it's a bit late though, phonecalls are fast becoming a thing of the past.
Yeah. Hopefully it can search for the appropriate webpage and book online for you too. That might even be easier. That would be a massively useful application. Then you'd just need a physical robot to take stuff to the post office etc for you.
Looks like it could end up being a cold calling nightmare.
phonecalls are fast becoming a thing of the past.
If only... As a telephonophobe, I long for the day it disappears from our experience. Or I have a PA permanently assigned to me to answer and respond to all phone calls on my behalf.
If it can do phone calls though it will be able to handle chat/email etc as well.
Saw one comment that it would be great to let loose when dealing with some crappy multi level IVR.
Let the computers talk to each other until you are let through to a human.
I'm convinced JHJ posts are a bot.
Or I have a PA permanently assigned to me to answer and respond to all phone calls on my behalf.
Well this will make the calls. Next step is that it would answer them too. It's not really going to put that many PAs out of work, since most of us don't have them 24 hours a day. I dunno about you but I have to book my own hair appointments.
Give it time and unlimited access to all the data available from your phone.
'Google book me a holiday'
It looks at your web history to see what you like. Looks at activity levels vs weather conditions to see what your prefered weather is. Knows from your location when you prefer to take your leave from work. Can see your spending habits, knows what you can afford. Searches al lthe options in the background in a matter of seconds.
'OK Km79 I've put together a bespoke holiday to do such and such a thing to such and such a place on such and such a date for £XXX. Would you like me to invite your friends X, Y, and Z? I think they'll all enjoy it as well.'
This will kill off the vast majority of service sector jobs. What is our economy based around again?

From my high street I'd say coffee shops, barbers/salons, nail bars, tattoo parlours and charity shops. Am I living in the B Ark?
Coming soon, google assistant handles all those difficult phone calls you didn't want to make
Sack an employee? Relationship break-up? Weekly phone call to your mother? No problem!
It's only a matter of time before the AI can make all your business calls. All those conference calls with Asia at 3am - taken care of. Google will ringfence that unicorn and leverage those opportunities for you.
As a telephonophobe
I wondered what the actual term is for someone with a phobia of telephones, so I looked it up. Turns out, that is the actual term for it. Who knew.
From my high street I’d say coffee shops, barbers/salons, nail bars, tattoo parlours and charity shops. Am I living in the B Ark?
Niche reference perhaps, but I laughed.
this is not something to celebrate, it should be shut down right now.
it starts with a computer talking to a person, then it'll be a computer talking to a computer.... then we won't be needed.... we're doomed
