I was on a flight (RyanAir) that was delayed by 3hrs and 15mins. I've had a look at the flight details and conveniently Ryanair list the flight as 2hr 57 late.

Does anyone have one of the paid flight trackers that they could look up the times for flight FR3222 on the 21 Oct 23 from Manchester to Brussels (Charleroi) with the scheduled departure time of 16:45.

all the free ones only show the last 14 days and I didn't think to take a screen shot.

If the reason was weather or external factors, you won’t get a claim in. If it’s technical or airline fault you might be in luck.

They often push early to start then hold in a remote spot to frig the figures, but it looks like you might have proof on your side^^ 👍🏼

Flight radar 24 has it as a 1645 scheduled departure, actual departure of 2005. Scheduled arrival of 1905, actual arrival 2205. So, right on the nose of 3 hours. But as others have said, if it wasn't directly to do with the airline, you've no chance. I was delayed over 8 hours with EasyJet not that long ago and got bugger all as it was weather related.

The time that EU261 claims will be based on is 'time off blocks'. Thats where the 2h:57 you'll get from Ryanair is from.

This is not the time you'll find on Flightradar etc. Further - if you already know the delay was cuased by weather, air traffic control etc, slot restrcitions etc dont even waste your time trying to claim - that is outside of the purpose of the EU261 ruling.

Delay codes are not just straightforward either - an aircraft that is delayed by 4 hours might actually have been delayed for 2.5 hours for one, predicatable or avoidable reason, but then a further 1.5 hours due to a missed slot. That is outwith of the airlines realm of responsibility and thus would not be a valid EU261 claim.

(Note: not a Ryanair employee, but I am an airline employee.)
