Whenever I upload photos to Flickr it seems to massively compress them resulting in a loss of quality. I've set the uploadr (sic) to re-size to 1600px but that doesn't account for tiny file sizes and hideous jpeg artifacts.
Click this pic and look at the sky full size and you'll see what I mean. The original jpeg shows some faint chroma noise but no artifacts.

So what am I doing wrong?
