A friend of mine asks..

anyone know if there's a way to find out who is linking photos from flickr on their site? Three random photos have had a massive increase in views in the last week!!

thanks for any help or useless advice.

They can go to their stats page and look for referrers, but teh stats aren't held for very long. I had a jump recently and the referrers were 'unknown', which was frustrating

That's all he's getting, 'unknown'

They've not nicked his images just linked them to somewhere, he just fancied knowing where as alot of them are unused mazazine shoot images

if they are pro, stats page. click on the link, click on the next link (it might only be a "/" but should be clickable) if never had a "unknown" when doing this, but it only works if they have linked the photo to a webpage/blog, not if they are just looking at it

If replaces the image even for the same one it gets a new id so will break their link.
