I could do with keeping a short length of hose (max 15-20') in a confined space for very occasional use in the summer only. Currently got a spiral hose but even that's a bit big and clumsy.
Is flat hose any good and can you shorten it?

I saw some ad on TV for a blue hose that expands or something, JML type thing.

Got one of these the other week - seems ok so far, but not sure of it's longevity.

It works for the fire brigade 🙂

Packs away much better, you just have to be a bit more patient in laying it out and its easier to kink. Cut it and shorten it as you like, you just need to have the right fittings to go on the ends you want connect to a tap / nozzle and some jubilee clips. Flat stuff tends to be in broader diameters than regular garden hose so you'll have a bit of a fanny about stepping up and down thread sizes at each end to get regular hose accessories to fit. Your biggest issue is if you're attaching to a tap above a sink and dealing with the bend / kink there. If its an outside tap it shouldn't be a bother though
