Bit of a long shot.

Looking at ordering a rather smart (but overpriced), Fjallraven winter coat for a Christmas present for Mrs Gob. It's a parka style thing with a fur lined hood etc.

Does anyone know how they size up? She generally wears a size 12, which corresponds to a medium, however, does that leave much room for mid layers underneath? Should I go for a large?

Trousers tend to size pretty well I find, maybe slightly large.
Jackets seem to size up (not sure for women though). I bought a Greenland jacket and had to get an XS rather than a S, although I think i'm somewhere between the two if I wanted to layer....
At a complete guess, i'd say go for a medium.

It's really worth phoning the shop and ask. They use different cuts for different styles of jacket. If it is a winter parka style they are sized to go over other layers. I've got a Singi winter parka in size L and it's a lot roomier than my summer weight Wild jacket in size L.

I go one size down for all FR gear. Standard large in everything else (Arcteryx etc).

Ton, which trousers do you wear? I have a 34” waist but massive thunderous thighs that won’t even fit in most trousers. I did try some Fjallraven in a shop once but they weren’t very roomy. Hearing that you squeeze into them makes me think that there might be hope.

Schweiz, my trousers are oviks and barents. oviks are looser on the thighs.

As above, the men's jackets are a roomy fit, trousers are pretty much true to size in my experience, but I don't know how women's tops size. I'd be asking the shop or Fjallraven themselves before buying.

Bought my wife one of these last Christmas - she is about a size 12 (5'7" and 9.5st) and I got a size small. Their stuff comes up really big
