My galaxy s4 started using a lot of its battery yesterday.
So to fix it I thought I would turn it off and back on.
This is what I got when I turned it back on.
I pressed reboot now and it just turns off and goes back to this screen . What else can I try?

I'd probably try the wipe data/factory reset option next
Take the battery out and then turn back on (or use the Power Down option)
Looks like you've caught a combination of buttons to enter a firmware mode (managed to do this on my Nexus 10 the other day).
Volume Down key is stuck.
Actually I did drop it and the volume up key went a bit sticky. Have tried freeing it up but still no joy.
[s]I had this yesterday. Looked at the battery monitor thing in settings. It was Facebook app using 24% of the battery since the last charge. The phone was hot to the touch etc.
I uninstalled FB and then restarted the phone then restarted it. Problem solved.[/s]
Ignore I didnt read the OP 😳
Brute force and a screwdriver has sorted it.
My kind of fixing!
I don't have the FB app just a link on my screen. Would that still cause issues?
take out the cable if thats plugged in
remove any extra storage cards
Facebook app and messenger was causing a massive battery problem a day or two ago. It was killing a bloke at work's z3 compact and then a news thing popped up on FB today saying it was caused by a FB server issue...
Thanks people. I'd be lost without this place.
