I nipped in there early this morn for a packet of OXO cubes (which they didn't have, only those bloody tubes) I left soon after as my ears were assaulted by what I describe as 'Jeremy Kyle music' Jeez, did whoever write that crap swallow a rhyming dictionary? And what makes the management of Poundland think that that such a low-life racket is going to encourage people in, or persuade them to spend more there?

I needed some OXO cubes that were half the price that Tesco charge. I didn't stay long.

I can't believe you actually started a thread moaning about the cheapest shop in the country because they weren't playing music you like.

I don't like them. I suspect that the repackaging is an attempt to sneak a hidden price rise/reduction in quantity past guillible consumers. I prefer the cubes.

As for the 'music'. Would you shop in a place that had the whine of a dentist's drill on all the time?

£1.89 in Tesco. I once saw a 95p shop, that must've been a really poor neighbourhood.

I find their pricing strategy far too confusing.

Bolton used to have a 50p shop (classy place that!)

Do they have personal shoppers to carry the basket and help carry things?
