I have a utility 'cupboard' currently used for the washing machine. it's not ventilated so I want a fan in there. luckily there is an old cemented up tumble dryer hole I plan to reopen.

I.have ordered a dmev fan which runs on trickle and boost on a light switch.

I have mains sockets in the cupboard but no lighting circuit and no easy way of getting one in there without major disruption

would spurring off a socket be okay? presume if I want the boost to work I will also have to add a switch or it would just be trickle only?

Couple of email quotes have come in at £200 to fit so would rather do it myself. (potentially I have another 3 to fit)

little bump, anyone provide advice? My googling tells me if I use the correct sized cabling and fuse in the spur this should be ok.

I'd probably just a fit a 13A plug on the lead from the fan and plug into a socket.

You can then fit a timer or whatever to control operation if you're not about.

You could run it from a fused spur from the socket. Pretty easy to DIY.
