Staying at Loch awe in 2 weeks time.
the accommodation includes a permit for fishing from the shore and anywhere on the loch from a boat.
Thinking I may aswell give it a shot.
I will have my canoe so I would like to spin a lure from it.

do I still need a rod licence?
can someone recommend a website that sells lures, lines and those things that you use instead of a rod and reel to wrapped line around.
or I'm I better just getting a cheap rod a reel?

Be careful on Loch Awe in a boat, people are killed on a pretty much annual basis fishing from boats, weather turns - it's a massive body of water.

You don't need a rod licence.

You won't catch anything on a hand line from a Kayak, get a rod and reel.
