You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I have just ordered a new bike. Now the 5 month wait begins. Humph.
Mine turned up today after nearly 2 weeks wait.
You WILL be able to identify the sound of a delivery van from over a mile away*.
*and probably develop a nervous tick of sorts.
How come it's taking 5 months?

5 months!? Wow, 3 weeks is bad enough waiting for my Tripster.
(So bad in fact I bought another bike to fill the time 😳 )
3 days wait so far for mine to get through customs. I'm climbing the walls.
My new bike is currently back in the shop whilst they work out how/if they're going to fix the creaking BB. 1 week now, I'm already twitchy.
Dont think they have made it yet. The date given is an estimate too. May come early may not.
It has purple bits on it and a picture of it has replaced the picture of my daughters on my work computer.
whats up with the BB?

I have everything except the wheels for a new bike build, the ironic thing is they are coming from the closest place (China, I am in Hong Kong), everything else has turned up a week before, most of which came from the UK.
Ordered some new trainers at the beginning of the week. THEY HAVE ONLY JUST NOW BEEN COLLECTED BY UPS!!
In this day of Amazon Prime, what the hell is wrong with some companies?
It's a good job they were reduced.
whats up with the BB?
The ranty answer is that it's a press fit BB and therefore crap, creaky and a complete waste of time, space and effort. What the hell is wrong with threaded BB's anyway?!?!?! 👿
The less ranty answer is that it appears the BB shell is moving inside the frame causing it to creak and click. The retailer are currently working out the best way of remedying it, I wait with baited breathe...
Pretty sure I'm worse, the miniscule delay loading web pages or opening applications on a machine slower than my desktop drives me NUTS!!

Sounds like a manufacturing defect to me, reject it.
What bike is it? I deal with a lot of press fit BB's

My Rourke took over 6 months, then when in did arrive in was winter so hardly rode it for another 3 months.
peteimpreza, in fairness, the shop are working with me to fix it, they have said if it is confirmed as a frame fault it'll be replaced, no problem.
JonBoy, Sensa Guilia road bike from Merlin. The BB/crank area clicks when I put pressure through the cranks, worst when I'm stood up yanking on the bars.
Its a bugger when things don't go to plan. I had a Genesis altitude 30 and blew the forks up about 2 weeks in, also had a belt drive single speed and just simply didn't like it when it got used in the real world.
I'm down to 4 months 30 days, 8 hours and 45 mins till I get my new toy. But I bet its late
tl, dr.
Grrrrrr. Bike has been delayed until February now. Said it would be late.

Definitely not the pedal axle?
