Looking for recommendations really from LBA, have been told to do a package (jet2 holidays) due to covid. Don’t want a long flight or transfer when we arrive ideally (lad is nearly 2 years old and not flown before so meltdown is likely!)
Would need to avoid Magaluf type resorts 🙂

Cheers

Take your pick! Our first trips were northern Majorca (Pollensa), Barcelona, Seville, Nerja. Flights and accommodation separately then car hire. Spread our wings a bit with the second nipper and took the caravan across to Europe for 3 weeks. Black Forest, Lake Constance, Innsbruck, Amsterdam on the way back. Finlay was about 9 months old and we used a big plastic box for bathing him in 😆 Top times all round.

Costa Brava is fantastic, from palamos to roses, not south of that though. Short flight, lots of beautiful little towns all along the coast, loved it.

We stayed in calella de palafrugell when the wee one was 15 months, and llafranc the next year.

Nearly 2 - get him his own seat on a plane
For ease, either half/full board or, preferable, an Airbnb with a washing machine.

Doesn't really matter where you go. Hot tubs are great with toddlers

Obviously you know your own kids best but we flew Scotland to Rhodes, Turkey and Tenerife with toddlers and they weren't any bother at all - all 4hr+ flights. Biggest thing is above: get them a seat of their own. It's infinitely better than having a small human crawling all over you for x hours and gives them space for activities: colouring, Netflix, sleeping, etc.

We took our 9 month old with us on honeymoon to Vietnam and then when I had a couple of months work in Los Angeles we took our then 3 year old and another 5 months old. Travelling with kids for us has been fine, just don’t expect to do much while they get over jet lag.

Would agree that (not too hot) hot tubs are great on holidays with kids, also bathing them in sinks, buckets whatever.

Our third child was born 29th of December 2019 and been nowhere!

We took our 2 year old to Majorca with Jet2holidays from LBA. I would recommend the same. So easy, shortish flight and all inclusive. Couldn’t fault anything and we’ve done the same for a number of years. Never had a bad experience. Look out for hotels with splash pools and your two year old will love it! Ours was first in the pool every morning at 8! 😴

I did Spain just before covid with a 3 year old.
Your might be too small but a bag of “fidgets” from Amazon is about £10 and is basically crap Chinese made toys that kids can fidget with. That and an iPad / headphones kept ours well occupied.

Cheers, looking at Puerto Pollensa in Mallorca now. Bit of a transfer but hopefully worth it.

@Hammy7272: Which resort did you go to with splash pool?

Cheers

Pollensa old town is lovely. When ours were little we rented villas there a couple of times.

Take some lights! There's a tunnel on the route which is long enough to be completely pitch black inside. Proper scary as you can't see the walls and any cars potentially can't see you. I did hear there are lights in it now, but I'd not risk a dark trip through it again.
